Carnival Glass Worldwide:  "Fenton introduced their beautiful Cobalt Marigold color in January, 1984.

The delicious iridescent effect, which Fenton called "Cobalt Marigold", has a rich, multi-colored iridescence achieved by applying marigold (ferric chloride) iridescent spray onto cobalt blue base glass. The pages illustrated here are from the Fenton 1986-87 catalogue; the items were given the color code "NK" to denote the Cobalt Marigold color. The catalogue pages are shown here courtesy of the late Frank Fenton who gave us these beautiful extracts during the time we were researching in the Fenton archives at Williamstown."

I will note extreme characteristics and/or damage in the auction description, however please remember ~~ This glass was manufactured in the early to mid 1900s, has had previous owners and was likely used.  Vintage glass will very likely show characteristics of age including base wear, scratches, rubs, etc.  Candle holders may retain wax residue in the candle cups or elsewhere.  Older glassware is also likely to have characteristics inherent to the manufacturing process of glass back then such as variations in color and finish, mold marks, straw marks, shear marks, crimp marks, bubbles, inclusions, malformations, heat checks, rough seams, spots of excess glass ~~ just to mention a few.  These are not considered to be damage ~~ They are part of the personality of glass of this era and make each piece truly unique.

Deep cleaning of glass will be left to the buyer.  I recommend hand washing with warm water and Dawn dish soap.  Please do NOT put any old glass in the dishwasher!  Tough grime may need a soak and scrub with a toothbrush.

If there are any problems when you receive your item, please contact me and give me the chance to work things out before you leave neutral/negative feedback or contact eBay!  I do my best to check everything over and describe as accurately as possible, but every now and then I miss something.  I’m easy to work with and I’m pretty sure we can reach an agreement.
