    Nikau - 20 seeds - Rhopalostylis sapida - NZ native Nikau palm
    Another plant to set off that "tropical" look to both garden and conservatory! Can be planted in pots and outdoors. Slow growing but left to its own devices it will eventually grow to 10 metres tall! Prefers a very mild climate, i.e. it can take light frost, and prefers cooler summers. It is one of the most cold tolerant palms available. Often in native bush it thrives on the edges of cool valleys and streams.
    Can take up to 15 years to form a trunk. Outdoors try and find a wind free spot, since the leaves can get quite windblown. Indoors enjoy many years of lush green foliage and make great houseplants.
